Proposed House Extension & Solar Roof in Llanberis, Gwynedd

The proposal was for the replacement of an existing dilapidated house extension and outbuilding with a new, single storey extension and south facing roof terrace. It will house a new, more expansive kitchen, a utility space and a downstairs W/C for visitors. The new extension will integrate with both the existing steep site topography. Providing direct access to the graded rear gardens and to the roof terrace above, while also maintaining side access to the adjacent parking facilities.

In addition to the extension a new timber carport structure with integrated solar PV array has been proposed. Designed to provide 2.4KW max output, approx 50% of the residents household electrical needs. The timber and slate structure will compliment the local vernacular and provide a much needed covered parking area for the residents year round.
