Completed Garage Conversion Project in Llandudno - Photo Gallery Added

Bespoke mezzanine office and relaxation space designed for a private client in Llandudno.
The space has been designed to give the maximum floor area while traversing the level difference between the garage floor and the rest of the existing house.
The existing garage doors have been replaced with full height glazed double doors and large internal apertures have been added to bring light into the space from both the kitchen and the main living room.
The new doorway from the kitchen into the new space gives a more convenient access to the front of the house, while a  large area of underfloor storage beneath the mezzanine ensures the available internal volume is maximised.

The space had to also be designed taking into consideration a resident with dementia. Hence the open plan layout which provides good sight lines into the kitchen, living space and views into key external spaces. The maximised  internal daylight and contrasting internal materials help with stimulation and navigation, and the stairs in the space are designed with long treads, shallow goings and DDA standard handrails.
